New Snow; 0cm
Base at top; 330cm
Has been a pretty wild ride here in Nozawa Onsen.
The last few days have been interesting to say the least. We are still getting some tremors but only mild in comparison to the night before last and things are returning to normal.
Would just like to thank everyone for their well wishes has meant a lot.
There have been no major injuries here and everyone is fine.
We are now more concerned for everyone up North of Tokyo with the devastation there.
On the snow front as mentioned yesterday some good news with the lower lifts opening this morning and people are taking to the slopes. It is pretty hard pack this morning but should loosen up as the day goes on with the sun shining.
Unfortunately the Nagasaka Gondola will probably be a while until it is back on track but hopefully in the next few days all the other lifts will open enabling people to get to the top.
The outlook is promising after some sun today and tomorrow the snow should start to fall on Tuesday night and temperatures will drop too. A decent dump is expected thru the week so should make for some nice conditions ahead.
Stay safe and please come up to Nozawa to visit and ski. It is very quiet here now so think we are going to need any support we can get thru until the end of the season. Thank you.
