New Snow since close: 20cm
Weather: Bluebird day, mild temperatures and no wind.
Heavy snow began falling early yesterday morning and it didn’t stop until late into last night. the temperatures were cold and snowflakes were light and fluffy. We saw close to 50cm covering some parts of the mountain and just under 40cm in the lower areas. There were fresh tracks to be found all day long across the resort and plenty of people hidden behind sprays of powder; What Japan’s mountains are famous for.
Today’s skies are clear. Not a cloud to be seen and it should stay this way! Just what we love after big dump. Temperatures will be fairly mild, sitting at around -5°C up the top and around 0°C at the base. There is practically no wind today and tomorrow should be the same before clouds arrive in time for the weekend with a chance of some more snow. Temperatures should drop back down after the weekend with more heavy snow forecast.
Enjoy the awesome conditions today and stay safe up there. Hope you all get some fresh tracks!
