15cm of Fresh Snow at Lodge Nagano overnight
Prayers have been answered in Nozawa Onsen this morning
Last night so a good solid fall with 15cm atleast gathering on the top of cars in the Village this morning. The resort is reporting 30cm up the top
Still some beautiful light snow falling outside at the moment and forecast looks like snow is set to continue for the rest of the week with a massive dump expected on Friday
The resort has announced it is going to open the Resort on Thursday the 17th of December so music to our ears. At this stage the Nagasaka Gondola and Yamabiko Lifts are opening then they plan to open more on the weekend snow permitting
So time to Wax up the planks and get into snow mode! See you up here
Villa Nozawa new sign new Snow Fall
Have a school group from Western Australia check in last night. For many of them was the first time to see snow so they were having a ball out the front of Villa Nozawa

Wishing all the staff at Villa Nozawa a very “MERRY CHRISTMAS”.
Thank you all for an enjoyable stay that our family had there recently, it was comfortable, relaxed and a very friendly atmosphere, a special shout out to our own very knowledgeable guide ‘Will’ who showed us around and our ever patient Ski Instructor ‘Phil’ (none of us had ever skied before) but by the end of the day we had the hang of it ‘THANKS MATES’. We all had a great time at Nozawa and the ‘Onsen’s’ were something else to experience. It’s good to see you are getting snow.We are envious.
It is hot (onsen hot) here!!! it’s a good thing we have a pool,we are all having a good relaxing day today. Once again thanks ‘Mark’ and crew for your hospitality, wishing you all the best for Xmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year in 2010. Hope to see you again in the future. The Snow has definitely arrived in Nozawa Onsen and there has been over 1 meter in the past 24 Hours and still snowing!
Hope you are not melting there
