Well the temperature has dropped 10 degrees overnight and that snow is on it’s way again.Forecast to come in today with the heaviest fall overnight.
Yesterday, the locals were out in full force working together to prepare for the next onslaught.It shows what amazing community we have in this village.

The sun is shining through the clouds this morning but the temperature is forecast to drop and some light snow should be on it’s way.Wednesday should see the heavy snow we’ve waited for this week which will be a good top up for the mountain, and then the snow should continue through the week.

Yesterday was a fun day with the fresh dump of powder we had.Many were out there riding tree lines and making the most of it.More of that to come this week!
The kids didn’t miss out yesterday with a fun event over at Hikage kids park.Nasuki got in on the fun too and even got a kiss at the end.
A bit of a warmer day today with the snowfall starting tonight, continuing tomorrow and the peak snow predicted to fall on Wednesday at this stage.Get that powder gear waxed and ready it’s on its way again.

After a great day on the mountain yesterday we saw snow start to fall in the late afternoon, this didn’t stop the town coming out for the Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament which was a lot of fun and there were a lot of prizes given out, even a pair of skis. We also saw a parade of ski attire over the last century here in Nozawa Onsen.
Remember there is the Sled race with Nasuki the Nozawa Onsen mascot at the Hikage ski slope kids park from 1:30PM.
Tomorrow evening should see the start of a new front with heavier snow predicted for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

We had a beautiful blue bird day yesterday with clear skies and a little bit of cloud in the afternoon.
Some fresh stuff predicted for us this evening, so we will be looking out for that tomorrow.
There are 2 events over the weekend.
Today, 6th of January we have a street festival near O-yu in the main street, starting at 7:30PM for about 2hours. There will be Sake tasting, Taiko drum performance and a Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament with prizes!
Tomorrow Sunday, 7th of January at the Hikage ski slopes kids park from 1:30PM there is a Sled race with Nasuki the Nozawa Onsen mascot! So get down there with your kids and have a great time.
