After a busy weekend we are back to normal here in Nozawa and you have the slopes all to yourself again. Real spring skiing today with temperatures well above freezing and T-Shirt Skiers could be spotted already in the early morning hours. Great fun to carve the first tracks on the freshly groomed slopes and enjoy a cool beer over lunchtime in the sun.
Slushy but good conditions yesterday with the sun out all day long. The top runs were the best and skyline yet the perfect run to finish off the day. Still top to bottom in middle of April here in Nozawa. Can you believe it?
Forecast looks good for the next few days. Sunny spring conditions until end off the week. We are still open and ready for you so come on up to Nozawa Onsen.

A fantastic day on the mountain today. The sun was out all morning. Great fun to ski on the slushy slopes or between the trees right up top. Good news too for park lovers. The Uneotaira chair lift is operating today and will stay open over the weekend. This means easy and good access to the Snow Park and Halfpipe again.
Still plenty of snow and action in Nozawa Onsen with the Ski-cross competition taking place this weekend. Come up and watch the spectacular races on the Paradise run tomorrow and on Sunday.
It is also a good time to think about what ski or snowboard you would like to ride next year. Next years ski and snowboard models from various brands can be tested all weekend long for free up at Yamabiko.
The weather closed in a bit now. Looks like we will get some snow tonight and tomorrow. So could well be that I will test a powder ski tomorrow. Sunday is nice and sunny again.
Getting organised. Preparations for the ski cross taking place up at Paradise tomorrow and on Sunday.

Not too much going on in Nozawa today. Strong winds closed down the lifts. The mountain will stay closed for the day so have to wait until tomorrow to get our turns in. Some of the guests at Villa Nozawa still made their way up to the slopes and gave it a go on the Snowboard for the first time. Great spirit and good on you guys.
Beautiful day yesterday. Blue sky and T-Shirt skiing weather all day long. Was a bit warm but still great fun to ski in the slushy spring conditions. Another day without people on the mountain. The mountain is all yours in Nozawa.
Looking at the forecast. Started to rain just now and will continue this afternoon. Should cool down towards the evening and we will get some fresh snow in overnight. Nice and sunny after that for a few days with a beautiful blue sky tomorrow.
Enjoying a nice meal in Nozawa. Little guest Boudhi on the kitchen table in the Villa Nozawa.
