Hardly anyone on the mountain this morning. Almost feels like a private ski resort at times. Still great snow conditions on and off the slopes. If you know the right spots you can even still find nice powder runs. After a few snowy days and a blue sky yesterday the temperatures are a bit on the rise today. But still good fun to carve down Skyline towards the village and get a few turns in at the slushy bottom part.
Fantastic day yesterday. Fresh powder and blue sky is a mix which is hard to beat. A lot of people did not want to miss out and made their way up to Nozawa to enjoy skiing once more this season. Temperatures staid fairly cold up top and guaranteed good snow condition all day long. Got a bit slushy at the bottom in the afternoon. But all in all could not ask for a better day.
The forecast shows a blue sky tomorrow and some rain for Wednesday. Should not affect us too much, there is still plenty of snow on the mountain.
Fantastic conditions in Nozawa. Mark Bolotin, guest at the Villa, enjoys the beautiful snow and sunshine.
Easter in Nozawa. It was bucketing outside the Villa Nozawa this morning.

The winter has returned once more to Nozawa Onsen. We woke up with a new blanket of snow down in the vilage this morning. Everyone had an early breakfast to hit the slopes and get the first of many fresh powder tracks on the mountain. It was snowing heavy all morning and will continue through out the day. Since yesterday afternoon we got more than 20cm of powder up top. Looks like another perfect day in Winter Wonderland Nozawa Onsen. And just so you remember. Today is the 7th of April. Fantastic.
Great day on the mountain yesterday. Fresh snow on and off the slopes and hardly anyone around. Temperatures remained cold all day and the sun came out just before lunch time to make things perfect. In the afternoon it closed in and another snow front rolled in. It was bucketing for hours and by mid afternoon it was powder skiing all over the resort with all the slopes covered in knee deep powder.
Looks like the snow keeps on coming today before we are in for a nice blue bird tomorrow. Could not ask for better conditions. Enjoy your easter weekend and the fantastic snow here in Nozawa.
Aiden and Charlotte Swan are enjoying a ski lesson with one of our In-House ski instructors.
Don't care about the windy conditions. Come and join us for a tour to the snow monkeys near Nozawa.

What a day yesterday with strong winds shutting down the whole ski resort for the first time this year by lunch time. The heavy wind continued all afternoon and evening. Unlike other places in Japan there was luckily no damage reported in Nozawa.
While it was raining down low, snow was falling up top and brought more than 15cm of fresh overnight.
The snow keeps on coming this morning with big snow flakes falling from the sky out the window right now. Still quite windy but by far not as strong as yesterday. The top part of the mountain will stay closed for the day but with fresh powder on the slopes the bottom runs will be beautiful to ski on.
More snow on the Menu for the next few days. It will snow pretty much through until Saturday. Once the wind slows down and the top lifts reopen, which should be the case tomorrow, there will be a lot of fresh powder to enjoy in Nozawa. So make your way up to Nozawa Onsen. The slopes and the Nozawa Holiday Team are still ready for you.
Big flakes were falling from the sky this morning. We are back in the deep winter here in Nozawa.
Great day to enjoy a hot tub in the nearby Maguse Onsen.

Not too much action today on the slopes in Nozawa. Strong winds closed down the entire mountain by lunch time and skiers could only enjoy the morning on the runs. The top lifts were closed from the start. The Challenge and the Hikage runs were still good fun to ski before the wind picked up more and forced everything to a halt. Guess can’t complain much as this is the first day in a great season where lifts came to a complete stopp.
Good excuse to explore Nozawa Onsen a bit more and enjoy a nice, hot Onsen.
A wonderful day yesterday. Cloudless blue sky and not many people around. The bottom runs were a bit slushy but good fun to ride and on top the conditions stayed nice all day with still some powder to find.
Still a bit of wind on the forecast for tomorrow with colder weather and snow rolling in tonight. We are looking forward for a nice fresh top up here in Nozawa.
The snow is on its way. Soon we will have snow covered trees again here in Nozawa Onsen.
View from the Gondola towards Mt. Kenashi this morning. Fresh dust of snow up top.

Yesterday was the last day of the year that all the skilifts on the mountain were operating. But don’t worry. Nozawa Onsen has still plenty of snow and lifts ready for you. The following lifts are still running:
Yamabiko Gondola, Yamabiko chair, Yamabiko 2ND chair, Uenotaira chair, Skyline Link, Hikage chair
Good conditions yesterday with some fresh powder to enjoy up top and the sun out at times. Closed in towards the afternoon with light snow falling from the sky.
Today the early morning clouds gave way to a nice blue sky pretty quickly. Great views from the top of Yamabiko with a fresh dust of snow on the slopes. The snow covered trees looked absolutely stunning.
A lot of snow on the forecast this week. It all starts with heavy snow fall tomorrow night, then pretty much snow all Wednesday and Thursday. Looks like we will get a few nice dumps. And this in April. How good is that.
Makes me laugh every time I pass that sing. "Never come back happen a disaster..."
