Beautiful Sunday morning here in Nozawa, with lots of sunshine wading into the village and slopes.
Clear skies and great views from the top and the hard pack should loosen up pretty quick as the day progresses making for some fun conditions.
Yesterday was pretty hard going with the fog and some of the racing was on hold. Lots more people filtering into town today for the demo day and race events. The car park was full this morning!
The next few days looking a bit wet with rain on the forecast eventually turning to a good amount of snow up top on Wednesday night followed by Sun on Thursday again.
So get up there today and make the most of the awesome spring conditions

Lots going on in the resort this weekend with the Demo day and the X Wave ski cross race all happening on the Paradise slope.
Plenty of cars in the car park too with Tokyo and Nagano crew making their way up to join in on the fun.
Yesterday was a great day on the mountain with the cloud cover keeping the sun off the snow it remained pretty firm for most of the day and was nice and fast. Looks like we have had some rain overnight but the forecast is saying it may turn to light snow later today but think it will be a case of wait and see.
Tomorrow Sunday is looking much better with a mainly sunny day on the cards and no winds. Monday and Tuesday look like we will see some precipitation with the chance of some snow up high around Wednesday before the sunshine kicks in on Thursday.
What a day it was yesterday clear skies all day and plenty of poor mans powder on offer with awesome spring slush. The snow was pretty fast under foot and also nice and forgiving allowing for some terrific riding both on and off piste.
Have a big group of Ski Instructors from Europe here at the moment and they are loving the weather and traditional Japanese atmosphere of the village.
Today there is a bit of cloud cover but it is relatively high so the visibility and snow is still great. Have the demo days for the next 3 days with booths for Armada Skis, Never Summer and Jones Boards and a bunch more up at Yamabiko so be sure to drop in and try out the latest gear.
Temps are relatively stable the next day or two and some snow is expected up top tomorrow followed by glorious sunshine on Sunday so a great weekend to head up to Nozawa.

Magic day up here in Nozawa, with the sun greeting us early this morning. The snow cams looked awesome early, no new snow reported but looks like we had a of something up there with the trees having the beautiful white glisten about them.
Temps are nice and cold early at -3 degrees so should make for a fast surface early. With the sun shining bright it should soften up pretty quick and no wind should make for a really nice day ahead.
The outlook is for another change tomorrow and some snow expected up top all going well.
Great time of year to be in the mountains and Nozawa.
A cold change has swept across the region overnight introducing some cold winter-esque air and light snow showers about the mountain. Since last lifts a dusting has been recorded across the mountain and 1cm at Yamabiko. With strong winds earlier there will be a few nice windblown stashes in the trees however watch out for sheet ice conditions on the more exposed courses.
During the second half of this week we should see some improving conditions as the snow softens back to spring snow in combination with more lengthy breaks of sunshine. Much better than the rain we have had the last week and more in line as to what we expect at this time of year.
