If you were lucky enough to be one of the first up the mountain yesterday you were treated to Yambiko at it’s perfection.Fresh powder, no tracks and glorious sunshine.
15cm is on the cards for today and 6cm for tomorrow. The sun should be out a little more then last week with the temperatures still staying low.Next weekend the larger dump is still predicted to hit around Saturday so we’ll see how those predictions play out this week.
What a way to start your week then on the mountain in Nozawa Onsen.Have a great day out there, stay safe and we’ll see you on the mountain.
We had magic snow here in Nozawa yesterday and we woke up to snow again this morning so the powder will be easy to find.Visibility will be clearer on the lower runs and we have a chance of seeing the sun tomorrow.Light snow will continue throughout the week and then Friday should bring another heavy fall for the weekend.
A little late but our January is finishing strong with now over a metre fall in the last week and will lead us in to a fabulous February.
Have a great day up there, stay safe and we’ll see you on the mountain!
It’s been amazing up there this morning with Yamabiko opening up after being closed yesterday, as you can see, this is why we’re here and we’re getting the powder we’ve wished for.Visibility is better on the lower runs and plenty of fun to be had down there also.
Forecast is showing a lighter snowfall tomorrow with the possibility of some sun on Sunday and then straight back into it on Monday and Tuesday with a steady prediction of snow.
Stay safe out there, ride with a friend and eat some lamb.To all the Aussies up here have a great Australia Day and I’m sure you’ll here the JJJ countdown around the village tomorrow! See you on the mountain!
A slightly later snow report today. We were out early grabbing some footage for you.Our base is finally back over that 3m mark and there is powder everywhere.Today we are expecting another 20cm and these conditions look to continue through to Saturday morning.
Yamabiko is closed at the moment due to poor visibility, the snow up there will be amazing once it reopens!
Remember to stay safe in these conditions on the mountain and around town.
Get out there, ski or ride with a friend and we’ll see you on the mountain!
