Another nice dusting on the top slopes of Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort this morning. Mother Nature is teasing us a bit and probably still not enough for the lifts to open up. The resort has set the date to open now as November 27th but feel it may be a bit later at this stage.
Over the years we have had some early seasons and some later seasons but overall on average I find December 10th is a safe bet to be hitting the slopes. The forecasters are predicting a cold and snowy December so lets hope they know what they are talking about and to see the slopes open soon
On the other side of the Season March is always a pretty reliable month for snow. The base is all here, usually 2 to 3 meters and we still get some epic powder days with almost no crowds. If you are thinking of coming we are still doing some great deals for March and April and have good availability just drop us a mail at lodgenagano@gmx.net or fill in the booking form on the site
For the serious Ski Bum we are doing a great deal for a month stay anytime in March or April right up until May 6th the closing day for Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort

Probably don’t need to rush out and wax up the skis just yet but may be time to pull them out of the garage! Still October and the first snow has hit Nozawa, always a welcome sign to see that white blanket on the Mountains.
Forecasts are showing it may not last long but nice to get one under the belt. Hopefully a sign for a great season ahead. The resort is planning to open on November 20th snow permitting so fingers crossed.
If you have not already booked for the coming season get in quick as things are filling fast. March still has good availability and one of the best times of the year with a well established base, a mix of powder and sunny days and most of all nice and quiet on the slopes!
We look forward to welcoming you to Nozawa Onsen this coming season and a deeper shade of white not far away.
2010 has been an amazing ski season, and we’re not done yet! We’ll be staying open until May 6th, and there’s plenty of great snow on the way.
We’ve still got plenty of beds available for March and April, which are some of the best times in Nozawa. We’ll have plenty of snow, and absolutely no crowds. We’ve got some great specials, so come and enjoy Nozawa with us!
Here’s a few highlights of the 2010 season so far.
2010 is proving to be an amazing season so think we will be looking good to go the full distance and have a truly golden Golden week. The Resort generally stays open until the end of of the Golden Week Holiday which is May 6th with Mother Natures cooperation on the Snow.
So we still have some great snow to enjoy ahead of us. March I feel is one of the best times in Nozawa. All the snow is here and absolutely no crowds. I am often skiing fresh powder on the top of the Mountain with a few others on March 30th every year
We still have some good availability for March and April and giving good discounts so get in and book as soon as you can and come and enjoy all the magic place has to offer
